NCAAF (CFB) Team Survivor (Private Contests): Commissioner Setup — Missed Picks & Auto Pick

Auto Pick Settings

Setting

What It Does

Default

Notes

Auto Picks

Fills a missed pick automatically after the deadline.

Off

When off, a missed pick costs a life (after any available Bye Pick). The default differs from what many legacy players expect — worth calling out proactively.

Maximum Auto Picks

Season-long cap on auto-pick events per entry.

Unlimited

Once the cap is hit, further missed picks cost a life.

Who Sets the Auto-Pick Rule

Commissioner sets one rule for everyone, or each entrant chooses their own.

Auto Pick Strategy

What it does: The fallback logic.

Default: Largest Available Home Favorite

Options: Largest Available Home Favorite; Largest Available Away Favorite; Random. In Pick Losers contests, the favorite options become Largest Available Home/Away Underdog.

Notes: Auto Pick only chooses from the entry's eligible teams (team-use and pick-against limits respected), never selects a game that has already kicked off, and never selects a cancelled game. There is no Auto Pick Forgiveness in Survivor (Pick'em-only feature).

Summary: With Auto Picks off (the default), a missed deadline costs a life outright. When Auto Picks is on, the fallback logic always respects the entry's existing team-use and pick-against limits.
