Under Contest details, the Settings sub-tab gives every member a read-only view of how the pool is configured. This is the fastest way to answer "what are the rules of this pool?" without needing to check with the commissioner.
What's shown
Field | What it means |
Starting bank | Units every entrant begins with (e.g., 1000 units) |
Max units per pick | Cap on how much can be risked on any single pick (e.g., 100 units) |
Vig | The built-in commission on payouts (e.g., 5.00%) |
Share price | The baseline unit value (e.g., 1 unit) |
Sports | Which league(s) the pool runs (e.g., NFL) |
Pick types | Which bet types are enabled (e.g., Money Line, Spread, Total, Parlay) |
Pick visibility | Whether other members' picks are visible or hidden until game start |
Parlay legs | Minimum–maximum legs allowed in a parlay/multi (e.g., 2–4 legs) |
Teaser points | The point-shift options available for teasers (e.g., 6, 6.5, 7) |
💡 Good to know: in this example pool, Pick visibility is set to "Hidden until game start" — meaning members can't see anyone else's picks on a game until it locks. If a member asks why they can't see a friend's pick, check this setting first before assuming something's wrong.
💡 Teaser points: the numbers shown here (6, 6.5, or 7 points) are how far a member can shift the lines in their favor when building a teaser — the tradeoff being a smaller payout for an easier-to-hit bet. This is a per-pool setting, so different pools may offer different point options.
This tab is a good first stop when a member disputes a pick type, a stake limit, or asks whether a certain bet is allowed — it reflects the pool's actual configuration in real time.
