The Format & Wagering tab is where the actual betting rules of the pool are configured — what members can bet on, how much, and at what odds.
League Type
Shows which sport(s) this pool runs — NFL in this example.
Pick types
Checkboxes let the commissioner turn each bet type on or off for the pool. Here's what each one means:
Pick type | What it is |
Money Line | The simplest bet — pick which team wins outright. Final margin doesn't matter, only the winner. |
Spread | A bet on the margin of victory, not just the winner. The favorite is handicapped (e.g., "−7," meaning they must win by more than 7 points); the underdog gets a head start (e.g., "+7," meaning they can lose by up to 6, tie, or win outright and still cover). |
Total (Over/Under) | A bet on the combined score of both teams, regardless of who wins. If the total is set at 37.5, "Over" needs 38+ combined points; "Under" needs 37 or fewer. |
Teaser | A friendlier version of a parlay for spreads and totals: every leg's line shifts in the member's favor by a set number of points (see Teaser points below), making each leg easier to hit — in exchange for a smaller payout than a straight parlay. |
Parlay | Bundles multiple picks (legs) into a single bet for a much bigger payout — but every leg must hit, or the whole thing loses. |
💡 Unchecking any pick type here removes it from the Picks board entirely — members simply won't see that bet option on any game.
Teaser points
Checkboxes for which point-shift options are offered when a member builds a teaser: 6, 6.5, or 7 points in this example. A member building a teaser can choose from whichever options are checked here.
