Commissioners reach the editable settings through Contest settings → Edit pool settings. This is different from the member-facing Contest details → Settings tab covered in a separate article — that one is read-only; this one is where the commissioner actually makes changes.
Layout
The left rail has:
A Total entries counter (e.g., "1 / Unlimited")
A Search by setting or keyword bar
Five settings tabs: General, Format & Wagering, Picks, Bank, Design
General tab fields
Contest name — editable any time
Description — free-text field shown to entrants
Late entry — Closed or Open with starting bank. In this example, "Open with starting bank" is selected, meaning new entrants can join mid-contest and will start with the full starting bank (not a prorated amount).
Danger zone
At the bottom, a red Cancel contest button. The description reads: "Cancelling permanently closes this contest. This can't be undone."
⚠️ Important: clicking Cancel contest opens a confirmation step (not shown here) that requires the commissioner to type a reason and check a box confirming they understand it can't be undone. Cancelling voids and refunds all open wagers back to each member's bank. There's no way to reverse this once confirmed — if a member or commissioner reaches out asking to "undo" a cancellation, the answer is no.
