The Rules sub-tab under Contest Details gives members a plain-English explanation of how the pool works — this is the best place to point a member who's asking "how does scoring actually work" or "what happens on a push."
1. How It Works
Each entrant starts with a bank of 1,000 in-play units and places picks on NFL events. Win your picks to grow your bank; the entrant with the largest bank wins — starting units plus winnings, minus losses.
2. Picks
Lists the available pick types (Money Line, Spread, Total, Parlay in this example) and the max stake per pick (100 units here).
3. Parlays
States the parlay leg range for this pool (2–4 legs in this example).
4. Scoring
This section answers two things agents get asked about a lot:
Winning pick: returns the stake plus winnings
Losing pick: forfeits the stake
Push or voided pick: returns the stake and counts as neither a win nor a loss
Leaderboard ranking: ranked by bank total (starting units + winnings − losses), with ties broken first by net result, then by total winnings. Since everyone starts with the same units, net result and total winnings/losses produce the same ordering.
