When viewing the Standings in your Pick'em contest, you'll see different options for reviewing your pool's performance, including Weekly and Picks by Week.
While both pages provide information about the same contest, they are designed to show different information.
Standings > Weekly
The Weekly page is your weekly leaderboard. Use this page when you want to see how each entrant is performing overall for a particular week.
Depending on your contest settings, this view can include:
• Weekly rank
• Points earned
• Potential Points
• Tiebreaker information, such as Tie Diff/Guess
The Weekly page is the best place to answer questions such as:
"Who is currently winning this week?"
"How many points does each entrant have?"
"How many points can an entrant still potentially earn?"
"How does the weekly tiebreaker currently look?"
If your Pick'em contest uses a weekly tiebreaker, applicable tiebreaker information will be reflected within this view.
Standings > Picks by Week
The Picks by Week page provides a game by game view of the pool. Instead of focusing primarily on each entrant's total weekly score, this page displays the games for the selected week and the selections made by each entrant.
Use Picks by Week when you want to answer questions such as:
"Who did everyone pick?"
"How many members picked this team?"
"Which picks won or lost?"
"Did a particular entrant make a selection for this game?"
Once picks become available for other members to view, you can compare selections across the pool. Pick visibility depends on the timing of games and your contest's pick deadline.
As games are completed, the Picks by Week view will also indicate the results of each entrant's selections.
What's the difference?
The easiest way to remember it is:
Weekly = How everyone is doing
Picks by Week = Who everyone picked
If you want to check the weekly leaderboard, points, potential points, or tiebreaker information, use Weekly.
If you want to compare everyone's selections game by game, use Picks by Week.
Can I see everything on one page?
Currently, weekly standings information and the game by game pick breakdown are separated between these two views.
We understand that many commissioners and entrants, particularly those familiar with OfficeFootballPool, would prefer a consolidated game day view containing more of this information on a single page.
Our team is already working on enhancements to the Standings experience to make it easier to follow your pool and access more of this information together.
