Enviz Pro - Quick start guide

Updated this week

What is Enviz Pro?

Enviz Pro refers to 3D spaces hosted on the Enviz platform. They are created using Enviz's 3ds Max Plugin and accompanying guide to enable experienced CGI studios to adjust their model to work in realtime in on mobile devices, VR headsets and in web browsers.

What to expect?

The time it takes to process your model/scene is dependent on a few variables.

They include:

  • The size of your model/scene

  • Your level of skill - If you're experienced with 3ds Max the process should be fairly straight forward, especially if you have worked on real-time projects previously. If you're new to 3ds Max, it may take more time to learn.

It should be possible to get your first version of your model onto our platform within a day or two. But expect an average of 3-5 days of effort total to get to a fully polished experience.

It's recommended to follow along with the guide as you use the plugin to make this process as smooth as possible. Follow the links in the overview below to get started.

Important! Enviz pro works in conjunction with an active Enviz Pro space. To purchase your Enviz Pro space please contact the Enviz sales team or our support team.

Overview

Model Requirements

Space Pro works best with models that do not exceed 400sqm. Processing spaces above this is possible but you will likely struggle to keep quality, performance and processing times in an acceptable range.

System Requirements

The requirements for using our plugin are similar to what would be recommended for 3ds Max.

You'll need:

  • 3ds Max license - 2023 or later

  • Chaos Corona OR Chaos V-Ray

  • A Windows OS computer with the same or better specifications:

    • 16GB of RAM

    • NIVIDIA 3080 OR AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT

    • Intel Core i9‑14900K OR AMD Ryzen 9 9950X

Please note: All rendering will be completed on your computer. If you use software like deadline, this is currently not supported by the plugin. However, it will be added in future updates to the plugin.
