How do I add a Pay Salary?
Log into the Core System and go to Admin > Salary Settings > Pay Salaries, then click NEW within the toolbar.
Enter the following information:
Title
Indicate if you want the Hiring Manager to be able to edit the Vacancy or Placement salary
Select a Rate Currency (if applicable)
Enter the Salary range (from and to) and Advertising Salary
Indicate whether you want the Hiring Manager to be able to edit the Hours Per Week on the Vacancy or Placement
Enter the number of Hours Per Week
Within the Vacancy Filter section, if you'd like to restrict when the Pay Salary can be used, click into each item and select an appropriate filter.
Having added these items, click Save. You'll now be able to add the Salary Bands.
Click Add then specify:
Salary Band Title
Salary
Interval
Hours per week
Once you've added all your Salary Bands, click Save one more time to save all changes.
Testing your Pay Salary
As part of phase 4 of your Implementation, you'll need to conduct thorough tests of your Pay Salaries.
Although it can be tempting to limit your testing to the Core System only, the main focus of your Pay Salary testing should be within the Hiring Manager Portal, specifically when raising a Vacancy and submitting an Offer.
When raising a Vacancy, you'll need to test the following:
Can the Hiring Manager select a Pay Salary? If so, is this behaviour correct?
If they are able to select a Pay Salary, are the correct options displayed, bearing in mind any filters added to the Pay Salary itself along with any specific Job Role restrictions (where applicable)?
Can the Hiring Manager amend the Salary and/or Hours Per Week displayed? If so, is this behaviour correct?
When submitting Offer details, you'll need to test the following:
Are the correct Salary Bands/Spine Points displayed for the Pay Salary selected on the Vacancy?
Can the Hiring Manager amend the Salary and/or Hours Per Week to be offered? If so, is this behaviour correct?
If you have added filters to your Pay Salaries, e.g. Organisation or Location filters to account for London Weighting, you'll need to ensure you have completed tests to ensure the correct options are displayed both when the filter criteria are satisfied and when they're not. For example, if you have added London as a Location filter on a Pay Salary, you'll need to carry out a test where the Vacancy has London selected as the Location and another where the Vacancy Location isn't London.
If you have any questions relating to the testing of your Pay Salaries, please raise them with your Implementation Manager.
