Indeed Apply Flow

Written by Glenn Jones

If you are opting into using our Indeed Apply integration, you will need to set up a specific flow just for Indeed. This will be separate to the application flow for your website, as there is some functionality available which is not compatible with Indeed.

This can include nested tables (i.e. the Employment History table), advanced conditioning (multi-layered show / hides) and file uploaders (such as supporting documents).

As this functionality is available in your candidate portal, rather than sacrificing these great features from your Application flow, you can build a redacted version of your process to suit Indeed and the candidates coming from their platform.

Configure Indeed Flows

In theory, building your indeed flow uses the same functionality as your application flow but can be found within Admin > Job Boards > Indeed Apply Flows.

From here, you can review, edit or create any flows specifically designed for use on Indeed. This is done based on a start block, connectors, conditions and forms in the same way as your normal flow, but with any options which are not compatible with Indeed removed.

Hints and tips for Indeed Apply Flows

There are certain limitations within Indeed, which means that you may not be able to exactly recreate your application journey for Candidates coming from that platform. Please use these hints and tips to help simplify your process to suit:

  • Candidate conditions are not available - Within a normal Candidate Flow, you can create conditions based on information provided by the candidate to set different statuses or show different forms. This isn't available in the Indeed Flow, as the candidate information is not available to Eploy until the application is submitted. Vacancy conditions can still be used to create a dynamic application process.

  • Grading is available, but can not dictate journey - Whilst you can still grade a form completed on Indeed, you can not chose to use that grade to then show a different form or auto reject etc. This is because the information is not available to Eploy until the application has been fully submitted.

  • Nested tables, such as employment history, referees, education, etc. are not compatible with Indeed so can not be included in your Indeed Apply Flow. To get around this, you can set candidates coming from indeed to an incomplete status, which will automatically invite the candidate to your portal in order to provide the missing information.

  • Auto-rejects are possible using Indeed Apply, but you cannot reduce the journey or chose to show extra forms to only successful candidates. I.e In your Application flow, you may have a minimum criteria question early in the process and reject candidates on this basis, without asking them to complete the rest of the journey. This is not possible on Indeed, so whilst you can reject them based on the same information, you will need to allow the candidate to complete the whole process.

  • Video / Audio Interviews are not compatible with Indeed, but you can set the candidate to an incomplete status, before directing them to the candidate portal to complete this part of the process.
