Bonuses within Employee Referrals are the actual monetary rewards due to a referee, when the referred candidate is hired.
Using Eploy's bonus structure, you can create and allocate bonuses that allow for multiple payments over time, differ between different roles and are available in different areas of your organisation.
Create a Bonus
To begin configuring your bonuses, navigate to Admin > Employee Portal > Bonuses.
To get started, click New to create a new Bonus. This will allow you to:
Set a Title - This is the name of the bonus and will be visible when allocating to a vacancy and within a referral when the bonus is due.
Add a Reference (if applicable) - For accounting purposes, you can add any relevant references to the bonus.
Include a Description - This allows you to outline when & where this bonus applies and how it will be paid.
Make it Active - Only tick this once fully configured.
Set the Currency - If bonuses can be claimed internationally, you can set the appropriate currency here. If not, the system default will be used.
Once you have set the basic bonus details, you can then begin to configure the Vacancy Filter. This filter will determine which roles this bonus is eligible for and prevent it from being used where it is not applicable.
Vacancy Filter
Here, you can filter on the following fields to restrict to the use of the bonus:
Organisations
Positions
Business Areas
Locations
Pay Salaries
By allocating bonuses to specific parts of the business, you can incentivise different teams and employees differently and help to drive recruitment accordingly.
π€ Tip Leaving a filter blank will mean that it is available to all options. For example, if you don't filter on location, the bonus will be available in all locations.
Once you have configured your Filters, click Save to confirm. This will add the bonus, allowing you to click back into the title to begin adding the Payments schedule.
Payments
Payments are made up of values, recipients and the days payable, to indicate how much of a bonus is received following a successful referral. Depending on your Referral Program, you may decide to offer half of the bonus value when the referred candidate starts in their new role, with the second half payable once they have passed their probation period. Alternatively, you may choose to further stagger and break down the payments, based on key employment milestones.
In either case, payments are configured based on the number of calendar days since being Hired (along with any other criteria, such as passing a probationary period).
To add a Payment, click Add and enter the Amount, the Recipient (either the contact/employee or the candidate) and the number of Days Payable After Hired to trigger the payment.
Having added all payments, click Save.
Your configured Bonuses will then be available within grid view and ready to assign to your vacancies.
