Bin Locations are typically used to easily locate stock from a bin/ shelve within a depot making tasks such as Picking (based on Sales Orders), Receiving (based on Purchase Orders) & Stock Counts easier.
Configuring Bin Location: Manual (Per Item)
To assign / specify a bin per item, users will navigate to Product Location tab where an alpha-numeric bin reference can be typed in for each depot.
Configuring Bin Location: Import (Bulk)
To assign / specify bins in bulk, users will navigate to Import Data, and populate "BinLocation" field in Product Depot Information CSV import file.
Likewise, exporting data (Export Data -> Product Depot Information) will also see Bin Location field included in CSV file.
Where you'll find Bin Locations in ERP Go:
Sales Orders -> Manual Picking
Bin Locations will be displayed in the Manual picking screen.
Sales Orders -> Batch Picking
Bin Locations will be displayed in the Batch Picking screen.
Purchase Orders -> Receiving
Bin Locations will be displayed in Purchase Orders at Receiving stage.
Purchase Orders -> Notes
Bin Locations will be displayed in Purchase Orders Notes.
Stock Transactions
Bin Locations will be displayed in Stock Transactions.
Depot Transfer
Bin Locations will be displayed in Depot Transfers.
Inventory -> Stock View
Bin Locations will be displayed in Stock View.
Inventory -> Stock Availability
Bin Locations will be displayed in Stock View.
Reports -> Stock Transactions
Bin Locations will be displayed in Reports -> Stock Transactions.
