How to define shift time

You have two options for defining shift times in the FM Web and Mobile apps:

  1. Adding a New Shift Time (FM Web App and FM Mobile App)

  2. Creating a Custom Shift (Currently FM Web App Only)

Add a New Shift Time

This feature allows you to define the start time, end time, and clock-in time of a shift during the shift creation process. It is ideal for shifts that are less commonly scheduled or when you've reached the limit of 10 custom shifts. Unlike custom shifts, these new shift times are temporary and will not be saved after the shift has been posted. You can define as many new shift times as needed during the creation process.

How to access the feature on FM Web

  1. Click the "create new shifts" button on the top right of the screen

  2. In the shift time dropdown, scroll to the bottom and select "add a new shift time"

  3. Define shift start, shift end, and clock-in times and select "save a new shift time"

How to access the feature on FM Mobile

  1. Tap on the shifts icon on the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen

  2. Tap on "create new shifts" at the top right of the screen and select the type of shift you would like to create - Regular or InstaSHYFT

  3. Tap on the "add a new shift time" button

  4. Define the shift start, shift end, and clock-in times and select "save a new shift time"

Custom Shifts

Custom shifts are designed for the most frequently scheduled shifts at your facility. These allow you to quickly define the shift's start time, end time, and clock-in time. Custom shifts can only be created or deleted via the FM Web app and are limited to 10 per facility.

How to access the feature on FM Web

  1. Click on the settings tab on the navigation menu on the left-hand side.

  2. Select the shift time preferences tab at the top of the screen

  3. Click the "add a new shift" button near the bottom right of the screen.

  4. Define shift start, shift end and clock-in times and click on "save custom shift"
