How to create a Place

A list of existing places will be displayed when "Places" is selected under Settings.

To add a new place select “Add Place”

Place Name - Enter a name that is a unique to the place - mandatory

Type - drop down box - select a Place type - mandatory

  • Other

  • Property

  • Town

  • Track

  • Port

  • Stable

When Track is selected, an additional drop down box is displayed where race courses can be selected. Select auto import to import upcoming race days. This information can be accessed via the main menu Movements/Race Planning.

State - indicate the state, county, province the place is in

Country - country the place is located in

Nickname - user name for the place

Person Link - drop down box - the place can be linked to a person record so contact details and address can be retrieved for reporting purposes. Best practice is to create all required People records before creating Places so the record can be linked to the place. If the person record does not exist, select Add Person to create the new person record.

Menu options at the bottom of the page are:

Add Place - save new place information

Add person - add a person that can be linked to the Place

Cancel - cancel changes. Place will not be saved.
