Places allow locations to be added to Essentials then linked to an existing person record (not mandatory) so address and other details can be found for reporting.

To add a new place select Add Place

Place Name - Enter a name that is a unique to the place - mandatory
Type - drop down box - select a Place type - mandatory
State - indicate the state, county, province the place is in
Country - country the place is located in
Nickname - user name for the place
Person Link - drop down box - the place can be linked to a person record so contact details and address can be retrieved for reporting purposes. Best practice is to create all required People records before creating Places so the record can be linked to the place. If the person record does not exist, select Add Person to create the new person record.
