Payment methods

eTasku includes a default list of common payment methods—but you can remove or create new ones to suit your needs.

You can create payment methods in eTasku to make it easier for both you and your accountant to track and record where each payment was charged.

If your company has multiple users in eTasku, each user can also set a personal payment method via the user details section in the web portal.

When adding a receipt paid with personal funds — such as cash or card — select Reimbursement (own money) as the payment method.

1. How do I add a new payment method?

If you are the company’s Admin user, go to Company Settings and then Payment Methods. If you have regular user rights, please ask your company’s admin user to add, for example, your credit card to the available payment methods.

When creating a new card-based payment method, enter the last four digits of the card number. This allows eTasku’s automatic image recognition to select the correct payment method — especially useful if you use multiple bank cards.

Fill in the details for the new payment method, then save by clicking the Add button.

  • Type

  • Visibility

  • User

  • Define the name for the new payment method

  • Activate Reimbursement if the payment method is used for purchases made with the user's own money and intended to be reimbursed.

  • By activating the I want to add another payment method section, you can add multiple payment methods without closing the form

Note

If the payment method is intended for reimbursing the user—meaning the expenses were paid with the user’s personal funds—be sure to activate Reimbursement when creating the payment method. This ensures it will also be taken into account when your accountant generates, for example, a SEPA payment file for reimbursement.

2. Removing a payment method

Your company’s main user can remove unnecessary or outdated payment methods via the eTasku web portal.

  • Open the eTasku web portal

  • Go to Company settings > Payment methods tab

  • Click the red X next to the payment method you want to remove

  • Then click the Delete button
