Update Invoice Terms, formatting & more!

Access Invoice Settings

  1. Click Settings

  2. Under Organization, click Invoice Settings

General Configuration

  • Include the Booking Name and/or Booking Start Date near the top of Invoices

  • Include Serving Time and/or Revenue Category by Default on tables

  • Enable Prepayment Invoices if you are using the Mews Integration.

  • Choose whether your team can Bill Invoices to Contacts, Accounts, or either.

  • Specify Invoice Terms such as Bank Details or payment requirements

Invoice Number Formatting

Some countries have strict legal requirements for Invoicing. These options allow you to customize these rules based on your needs.

  • Invoice Numbering Prefix

  • The Minimum Number of Digits

  • Allow Custom Invoice Numbers

If nothing is selected the following defaults will apply:

  • Prefix is INV-

  • The default is 5 digits: e.g. :INV-00005

  • Invoice numbers are customizable

Online Payments

Utilizing our Stripe Integration, your customers can make online payments via credit card, directly on an Event Temple Invoice!

When integrated with Stripe, you can then select whether to save the customer card on file after payment.

Event Temple is not PCI (Payment Card Industry) compliant, therefore Credit Card Information should not be saved in our system.

Consult with your legal counsel or compliance team regarding saving and using payment details. For example, the European Data Protection Board issued guidance regarding the saving of payment details for faster future checkout.

Customize Component Labels

Customize headings of different components on the Invoice. Organizations may use this to put Invoices in languages other than English.

Hint: Don't forget to hit save!

Important Considerations about Invoice Settings

  • Changes to the Invoice Terms, Field Labels, and Notes and Terms in the Footer Section will only be reflected in new invoices.

  • Changes to other Invoice Settings will not affect existing invoices
