How to Send Attendee Messages

There are times when you need to contact your attendees—whether it’s to send event reminders, important updates, access details, or emergency notifications. Keeping your attendees informed is a key part of running a smooth and successful event.

Here’s how you can send a message to your attendees using Evey:


Steps to Send a Message

  1. Go to your Event Dashboard and click “Attendees.”

  2. On the Attendees page, click “Attendee messages.”

  3. Click “Create new message” to open the message editor.


Composing Your Message

  • Name: This is for internal use only. Give it a clear, descriptive title so you can easily identify it later.

  • Subject: The subject line your attendees will see. It defaults to:
    "A message from ##{{event.title}}"
    For example, for an event titled Pre-Christmas Party, the subject will show as "A message from Pre-Christmas Party."c
    You can edit this and enter your own subject line.

  • Message Content:
    This is where you write your message. You can also include a call-to-action button by entering:

    • The button label

    • The link or URL you want the button to direct to

As you edit, you’ll see a preview on the left showing what your message will look like.


Choosing Your Audience

By default, messages are sent to all active attendees (those with tickets that haven't been canceled). But you can filter recipients:

  • Search Attendees by name or email

  • Filter by Ticket Type: Select one or more ticket variants

  • Click More Filters for advanced options:

    • Tickets scheduled on (for recurring events)

    • Ticket type

    • Ticket status

    • Check-in status

    • Ticket delivery status

    • Tickets purchased since

    • Email or phone status

    • Seat status (for assigned seating)

    • Seating zone (for assigned seating)

    • Ticket number range

    • Refund status

You can also choose to send one message per customer, even if they purchased multiple tickets using the same email address.


Saving and Sending

  • When you're done, click Save (bottom right).

  • When you're ready to send, click Send to Attendees.

⚠️ Note: Scheduled sending is currently unavailable. You’ll need to manually send the message when you're ready.
