Removing watermarks from projects

How to remove a watermark before exporting your project.

Updated over 5 months ago

If you’re using Examply to manage your projects, you might notice watermarks on exported files or shared content during the free trial or when using a limited plan. These watermarks are temporary and can be easily removed once you upgrade to a paid subscription or adjust your settings.

Why Are Watermarks Appearing?

Watermarks are added to projects or exported files in Examply for the following reasons:

  1. You’re on a free trial or a limited plan that includes watermarks.

  2. The content was shared using a restricted feature that applies watermarks automatically.

Upgrading your plan or modifying the export settings will remove these watermarks.

Steps to Remove Watermarks in Examply

1. Upgrade to a Paid Plan

The most straightforward way to remove watermarks is by upgrading your account to a plan that offers unrestricted features.

Here’s how to upgrade:

  1. Log in to your Examply account.

  2. Navigate to the Account Settings or Billing section.

  3. Select a paid plan that fits your needs.

  4. Complete the payment process.

Once your upgrade is complete, the watermark will automatically disappear from newly exported files or shared content.

2. Re-export Your Files

If you’ve upgraded your plan but still see watermarks on previously exported files:

  1. Open the project within Examply.

  2. Adjust any settings if needed (e.g., choose a higher resolution or custom branding).

  3. Re-export the file.

The new file will be watermark-free.

3. Check Sharing Options

If you’re sharing a project with collaborators or clients:

  1. Go to the Share Settings of the project.

  2. Ensure that the Remove Watermarks option is enabled (available in paid plans).

  3. Resend the link or file to the recipients.
