Pages normally connect through your Business Manager. If you need a page added without adding it to your Business Manager, we can do that on request.
š” When you need this
The Meta authorization flow connects pages through a Business Manager. Sometimes that is not possible or not appropriate: the page sits in someone else's Business Manager, or in none at all, and it cannot be moved.
If you can add the page to your own Business Manager, do that instead. It is the more stable connection and it is the route we recommend.
š” This is a legacy option that we switch on by request, for cases where the Business Manager route genuinely is not available.
ā Before you request
Confirm you have Access with full control of the page. We cannot add a page you do not fully control.
Confirm 2FA is enabled on the Facebook account. Meta requires this for third-party connections.
šµ How to request it
Email support@exerta.ai with:
The page name, exactly as it appears on Facebook
The page URL or Page ID
The email address on your Exerta account
Confirmation that you have Access with full control of the page
If you have several pages, list them all in one email rather than sending one request per page.
ā ļø Ad accounts still connect through the normal Meta authorization flow. This covers page-level comment moderation only.
š” What is next?
Once the page is added it behaves like any other connected page, but it will not be moderated until you set up rules. Your next step is Hiding Negative Comments.
ā FAQs
š Q: The Meta window only shows business portfolios. Where do I pick a single page?
A: You cannot. Page selection happens inside a Business Manager, so a page you cannot reach through one has nothing to appear under. Either add it to your Business Manager and connect normally, or email support@exerta.ai and we will add it for you.
ā ļø Q: I see "Your business already has access to this asset". What does that mean?
A: Meta returns this when the asset is already attached to your business, so it will not add it again. It does not mean the page is missing or that you lack permission.
Email support@exerta.ai with the page name and Page ID and we will look at the connection on our side.
š Q: Why is this by request rather than something I can do myself?
A: It is an older connection method that we keep available for cases the Business Manager route cannot cover. The Business Manager connection is more stable, so we default to it and switch this on only where it is needed.
š Q: What if I can move the page into my Business Manager later?
A: Do, and tell us at support@exerta.ai so we can move you onto the more stable connection. Your existing rules and agents are not affected.
