Draft for Marketing review — confirm pricing terms, free-trial mechanics, and refund language against the current commercial policy before publishing.
Extern operates on a simple subscription model: a free trial, then $10 per month while you're an active member. The subscription gives you access to the Extern platform — the catalog of available externships, the application and enrollment flow, mentor-guided projects, and the supporting curriculum.
What your subscription includes
Access to the Extern catalog. Browse all currently-listed externships and apply to any you're eligible for.
Enrollment in externships. Once accepted into a cohort, you can participate at no additional charge beyond your monthly subscription.
Mentor-guided projects. Each externship is led by an industry mentor who reviews deliverables and supports your work.
The Extern platform. Curriculum, milestone tracking, deliverable submission, and cohort communication tools.
Verification of completion. When you finish an externship successfully, Extern can verify your participation and completion to employers and admissions offices.
What it doesn't include
Employment. Extern is not an employer, and externships are educational learning experiences — not jobs.
General letters of recommendation. Extern provides program-specific reference letters to named employers or admissions offices on request, but does not write open-ended "to whom it may concern" letters.
Free trial and cancellation
New members start with a free trial. After the trial ends, your subscription begins at $10 per month. You can cancel at any time from your account settings — your access continues through the end of the current billing period.
