Scheduling Orders for Delivery

Drag, drop, and mark orders complete on the Delivery Scheduling calendar.

Overview

The Delivery Scheduling calendar is where orders ready for delivery are assigned to dates and vehicles. Drag orders from the Delivery Backlog onto the calendar to schedule them, then mark them as Delivered or Picked Up once they're completed. Delivery drivers can also upload Proof of Delivery directly from the Factory app.

👥 Access permissions

  • Users with permission to access Delivery Scheduling can schedule and complete deliveries. Review user roles before granting access.

Schedule an order

Drag an order from the Delivery Backlog onto the calendar to schedule it for delivery.

📝 Notes

  • The Delivery backlog lists every order ready for delivery.

  • The number next to Delivery Backlog is the count of orders not yet scheduled.


Move an order back to Delivery Backlog

  1. Right-click the scheduled order on the calendar.

  2. Select Move to Backlog.

The order returns to the Delivery Backlog for rescheduling.


Mark as Delivered, Picked Up, or Installed / Unmark as Delivered, Picked Up, or Installed

  1. Right-click the order on the calendar.

  2. Select Mark as Delivered. To undo, right-click again and select Unmark as Delivered.

📝 Notes

  • Delivered orders appear greyed-out and marked with a tick in the calendar view.

  • Marking an order as Delivered changes its status in Order Details to Delivered, Picked Up or Installed.


Upload Proof of Delivery (POD)

Team members assigned to deliver orders can upload Proof of Delivery (POD) directly from the Factory app, including photos, videos, or a customer signature.

  1. Sign in to the Factory app at app.factory.app/login.

  2. In the Delivery Scheduling calendar, click to open the order.

  3. Select the Collaborate tab.

  4. In the Add a message field, do one of the following:

    • Photo or video: Click the paperclip icon, select Take a photo or video, capture the image (e.g. where the delivery was dropped, or the signed Delivery Docket), select Use photo/video to attach it, then click Send.

    • Digital signature: Click the notepad icon. Under Add signature, enter the customer name and have the customer add their signature, then click Done.

📝 Note

  • All team members with access to Collaborate on an order can view its Proofs of Delivery.
