A teardown is the process of disassembling parts of your vehicle to accurately diagnose the cause of a mechanical issue. Sometimes, it’s necessary to inspect internal components that aren’t visible without taking the vehicle apart.

If a teardown is required, Fair™ will typically work with the repair shop to authorize this step if it’s needed for a covered repair. However, if the issue isn’t eligible under your coverage, you may be responsible for the cost of the teardown.
