What are User Profiles?

Your User Profiles will help you keep all the information related to a specific center or child separate so that you can easily switch between them.

More specifically, a User Profile is needed when a user has used the same email address for multiple types of profiles.

This could be:

  1. A personal profile (parent or child contact) with a child or children enrolled in more than one center, or

  2. An employee in multiple centers

So, if you have more than one profile, when logging into the platform with your email and password, you will be asked which User Profile you would like to use. Once you select this, all of the views you see in Famly will only be relevant to the information for that profile.

How do I access my User Profiles?

Once you are logged into Famly, you can easily change the profile to another one by selecting the Switch to dropdown under the Profile Account Menu in the top right-hand side of the screen.

Once you've swapped over to your other user profile, you will only see the information that you need related to that user. This means that now there’s far less of a chance of writing to the wrong people or in the wrong place.

Note that if you have a large amount of different profiles, a search option will appear whenever choosing or switching profiles.

What's going to change?

Newsfeed posts will only show that are relevant to that specific User Profile. For instance, you will no longer see updates about your child within your employee profile.

Messages will only show that are relevant to that specific User Profile. For instance, if you work as an employee in multiple centers you will only see messages relevant to the center you are logged in at.

Notifications will only show that are relevant to that specific User Profile.
