Enabling GPS Check-in/out
With the GPS check-in feature, parents can check their child in and out of the setting on their phones using GPS location. Staff members can also use this feature to check themselves in and out. This feature ensures that everyone is within a certain distance of the setting before they can check in or out, providing added convenience and security for all.
💡 If you're interested in using GPS check-in, you'll need to reach out to our support team, support@famly.co, to have this enabled for you.
Once enabled, parents will see a Check In/Out tab and staff members will see a Sign In/Out tab in their account settings menu:
Once Famly locates the parent or staff member (they may need to allow Famly to use their location in their browser or device), they will be able to check their child or themselves in.
For staff members, it'll look something like this:
Staff need to select their room in the Room to check in to dropdown and click Check In to confirm
For parents, it'll look a little different:
Parents can select their child (if they have more than one that attends the setting), choose their pickup time and click Check In to confirm. Keep in mind, the expected pick-up time will always default to 15 minutes before closing.
If parents or staff members are not within a 300-meter (or 1000-foot) distance of the setting, the following message will show:
