Overview
Trough sensors track the average and minimum water level in your trough for each transmission period.
For example, by looking at your MyFarmbot trough graph, you can see that between 2 pm and 4 pm, the average water level was 20 cm and the minimum water level was 8 cm.
Since trough levels can fluctuate significantly in any given period, the alerts are based on the average water level.
Trough Alert Types explained
Trough alerts can be set to notify you when:
Average Level High
For example, when the average water level is 60 cm or higher in a transmission period, a warning alert is sent.
We recommend setting this at 105% of the trough's height
Average Level Low
For example, when the average water level is 5 cm or lower in a transmission period, a warning alert is sent.
We recommend setting this at 20% of the trough's height
If the minimum level meets the alert trigger condition but the average level does not, then an alert will not be sent as it means the trough water level has recovered
Steps to set Trough Alerts
In the navbar, go to Troughs and select the trough you want to set alerts for.
2. Go to settings (three dots) and select Alert Triggers.
