I'm an Experience Maker — can I also join as an affiliate?

FOR AFFILIATES: How Experience Makers can take part, and the one booking that never earns commission.

Yes. If you're a Fernwayer Experience Maker who also runs a blog, newsletter, or channel, you're welcome to join the Affiliate Program and earn commission by referring your audience to Experiences across Fernwayer.

The one exception: your own Experiences

You can't earn affiliate commission on bookings for Experiences you host yourself. The reason is simple. Affiliate commission rewards you for referring travelers to other makers' Experiences.

On your own Experiences, you already earn directly through your Experience Maker payout.

Promote your own Experiences anyway

Two things worth knowing:

  • Promote your own Experience — visibility helps it sell, and you earn your full Experience Maker payout on it.

  • Your own-Experience link still works — if someone arrives on fernwayer.com via your link to your own Experience, then browses and books a different Experience, that booking earns you affiliate commission. So the link is never wasted: it opens the door to the whole platform, and anything else they book through it pays you.

Everything else works the same

Aside from that one exception, you take part like any other affiliate:

  • You apply and are reviewed the same way

  • You get the same tracking links, for any Experience you didn't create

  • You earn at the same commission rates

You won't set up Stripe again. Your affiliate commission flows to the same Stripe Express account you already use for your Experience Maker earnings.

Your affiliate commission and your Experience earnings are paid out separately, each clearly identified, so you can always see what's what.

If you already have a Fernwayer account as an Experience Maker, you'll apply to the Affiliate Program using a different email address, and we'll set up a separate affiliate profile for your referral activity.

Your two roles stay cleanly separate.
