The price you see on a Fernwayer Experience is the price you pay. No hidden or additional charges. No ++.
Fernwayer Experiences are priced per person, shown in either euros or US dollars depending on the country.
Priced per person
When you book, the total is calculated as the price per person × the number of people in your party.
Many Experiences have a minimum group size, set so the Experience is viable to deliver at the quality intended. If your party is smaller than the minimum, the cost is calculated at the minimum size. (More in Minimum and maximum group size.)
All-inclusive — wallet-free on the day
The price covers everything you'll need during the Experience:
Your Experience Maker's time, expertise, and the access they share — the places, people, and moments they open up to you
Entry fees and tickets — museums, sites, festivals or rituals
Food and drinks, as described in the listing
Transport, where it's part of the Experience
All taxes and fees
This is what Fernwayer means by wallet-free on the day: no cash to carry, no tickets to buy, no bills to split, nothing added at the end.
You are a guest from the moment you arrive, not a customer. The transactional side of the day is already settled with Fernwayer before you meet your Experience Maker/Host.
No tipping
Fernwayer is a non-tipping marketplace.
Your Experience Maker — and everyone involved in your day — is paid fairly through the price you've already paid. There's no tip expected, and none needed.
Is transport included?
It depends on the Experience, and the listing always says. Where an Experience reaches a vineyard, a remote village, or a site best accessed by car, transport is included in the price — sometimes your Experience Maker drives you themselves, which becomes part of the day.
Where it isn't included — a city walking tour, say — the listing names a meeting point, and you make your own way there, usually by public transit or taxt/rideshare. Once you've booked, you can confirm the meeting point with your Experience Maker through Fernwayer Chat.
What's not included
A few things sit outside the price, and the listing will always be clear about them:
Getting to the meeting point, when transport or hotel pickup isn't part of the Experience. For a city walking tour, say, you make your own way to where you'll meet — the listing names the spot.
Anything personal you choose to buy — a memento from an artisan, an extra bottle of the wine you loved. Keep in mind, there's never any expectation or pressure to buy.
