You can book a Fernwayer Experience for someone else — a partner, family, a friend, or someone whose trip you're helping plan.
It's worth knowing what the Traveler's experience will be under each option, because the two ways lead to different outcomes for them.
Every booking opens a conversation for the Traveler with the Experience Maker, and the exchanges beforehand are where the welcome starts — so the Traveler and their Experience Maker arrive already knowing each other a little, and the day is shaped around the person the Experience Maker has been talking to.
Booking on your account
The quickest option for you — but you'll be the Experience Maker's point of contact, and you'll be requested to pass along answers between the Traveler and the Experience Maker.
On the booking form, when asked "Are you traveling?", choose No. You'll add the names of everyone attending and a phone number for the main Traveler, so the Experience Maker can reach them on the day.
A few things to know:
You're the point of contact. Because the booking sits under your account, Fernwayer Chat connects the Experience Maker to you, not to the Travelers. Anything they need to know — dietary requirements, the meeting point, timing — comes to you, and you pass it along.
Billing and cancellation are yours. All payment and cancellation communications go to you, as the person who booked.
The review comes to you. After the Experience, you'll be the one invited to leave a review. If you weren't there yourself, you're welcome to quote the Travelers who were.
This works well for a booking you're managing closely — say, for a family member, or if you're the assistant to a busy executive whose plans and interests you know well.
Booking on the Traveler's account
The Traveler creates a Fernwayer account and verifies their email, then authorizes you to book on their behalf, using their account. Booked this way, they chat directly with the Experience Maker, share what they're hoping for, and the day is shaped around them.
This is the way we'd recommend whenever you can. So much of a Fernwayer Experience comes from that direct connection between the Traveler and their Experience Maker — the conversation beforehand, arriving already knowing each other a bit.
