What if I'm running late?

FOR TRAVELERS: What to do if you're delayed on the day for a Fernwayer experience.

If you're running behind on the day, let your Experience Maker know as soon as you can.

The earlier they hear from you, the more room they have to work around it.

Message your Experience Maker

Reach out in Fernwayer Chat the moment you know you'll be late.

Your Experience Maker also has the phone number you gave when you booked, so if you're not at the meeting point, they'll certainly try to message or call you — keep your phone on and to hand on the day.

When they hear from you, they are often able to adjust — waiting a little longer, or shifting the start time. But not every delay can be absorbed: some Experiences run to a fixed window, a timed entry, or the Experience Maker's other commitments, so a big delay may not be workable even with notice.

A booking is recorded as a no-show — which isn't refundable — if you don't arrive within a reasonable time and either can't be reached, or the delay can't be accommodated.

The best thing you can do is simple: message as early as possible, so your Experience Maker has the most room to make it work.

If you know in advance

If you realize ahead of time that you'll be late — a delayed flight, a missed connection — tell your Experience Maker as early as you can, even the day before. The more notice they have, the more they can do to keep the Experience on track.
