Settings - Dilution Rates

Define how your materials are mixed so usage is recorded accurately

Written by Rosie O'hara

Summary

Applying the correct dilution rate is an important part of your techs' work in the field. Dilution rates are found on the material label. Setting them up here — with clear names and the exact mixture from the label — makes it easy for techs to select the right one and lets the system calculate material usage correctly.

Key Points

  • Create a dilution rate for each material/mixture you use

  • Name them clearly using the brand name and mixture rate

  • Enter the mixture exactly as it appears on the product label

  • Dilution rate reporting is not required in most states

How to Get to Dilution Rates

From the top of the Navigation Menu, click Settings (gear icon)

Under the heading Pest & Material Settings, click Dilution Rates

How to Create a Dilution Rate

Click te New Dilution Rate button in the upper right

Fill in the form:

  • Description — a clear name that includes the brand and mixture rate

  • Mixture — enter the amount, choose its Unit of Measure, then /Per the second amount and its Unit of Measure, matching the product label

Click the green Create Dilution Rate button to save

For example, instead of leaving the default "1 Unit /Per 1 Unit," set the real label rate:

  • Talstar PL — 2.3 Pound(s) /Per 1000.0 Feet

  • Suspend SC 0.06% — 1.5 Fluid Ounce(s) /Per 1.0 Gallon

How techs report usage in the field

  • If the product is ready to use, the tech enters NONE

  • If the product is mixed, the tech enters the total amount of liquid (water) used — for example, 1 gallon. The system then calculates the amount of chemical to report.

Important note: The tech should enter the total liquid used, not the amount of concentrate. If a tech enters the material amount (e.g., 1.5 fluid ounces) and a dilution rate (1.5 fl oz / 1 gallon), the report will come out wrong — something like 0.000000019%. Always enter the total liquid (water) used in the application.

Examples

Common dilution rate names include:

  • Demand CS 0.015% / 0.03% / 0.06%

  • Gentrol — 1 oz / 1 gallon

  • Phantom 0.125% / 0.25% / 0.5%

  • Precor IGR — 1 oz / 1 gallon

  • Suspend SC 0.01% / 0.03% / 0.06%

  • Suspend PolyZone 0.06%

  • Taurus SC 0.6%

  • Tekko Pro

  • Temprid SC 0.075% / 0.15%

  • Transport Mikron 0.11%

  • None (for ready-to-use products)

Important note: Anytime you change something in Settings, your techs must Reload Data in the mobile app to see the change.
