Allow or disallow customers to make appointments in Settings/Appointment Reminders:

[ ] Allow customers to confirm appointments
    When set, the customers can confirm appointments
    When clear, customers cannot confirm appointments

If the setting is clear customers can still confirm appointments if the following setting is clear in Settings/Customer Portal:

[ ] Hide upcoming service list

When this setting is clear, the customer's upcoming appointments are viewable in the customer portal. There they can confirm the appointment.

If you do not want customers to confirm their appointments, select the setting in the Settings/Customer Portal:

[X] Hide upcoming service list
