Conversations & Transcriptions

A quick guide to finding your transcriptions and making the most of your conversations.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

What is a Conversation?

The Fieldy app stores all your transcriptions as conversations.

While your Fieldy is transcribing, you will see a moving audio wave in your app. Tap on the pause/play button to temporarily mute/unmute your Fieldy.

Below the audio wave, you will see a white card - that's where your current conversation is being transcribed. You can tap on it to view further details.

This current conversation will remain ongoing while Fieldy detects speech. After 5 minutes of silence, the current conversation ends and is saved, and a new one is started automatically. Once a conversation ends, it may take up to a couple of minutes for it to process and finalize.

You can always do this manually by tapping the "Start New Conversation" button: it allows you to split transcriptions into separate conversations without interrupting the transcription process.

How do I find past conversations?

Today's conversations will be visible by scrolling down.

To view the archive of all your previous conversations, tap the calendar icon in the top left corner. You will see all your conversations grouped by day along with a short daily summary. Tap on it to view more details.

What can I do with my conversations?

Tap any conversation to view its detailed summary. This is an automatically generated summary to cover the key points discussed in your conversation. If you'd like the detailed summary to be formatted differently or cover other points, you can select a different preset template or create your own. See more about templates here.

To copy, export, delete a conversation, or bring it to your AI chat, click the 3 dot menu in the top right corner of your conversation.

To share a conversation, tap the share icon to under the heading.

How can I see the full transcription?

To view the full transcript, open tap the button with the lines icon at the bottom of the screen (as shown).

Alternatively, scroll past the detailed summary and tap "Transcript".

What do the bubbles with letters below the summary mean?

Fieldy can currently identify up to six speakers in a conversation. The bubbles labeled Aโ€“E represent these different speakers.

If you've set up your Speaker Profile, in the transcription your speech will be marked with a bubble showing a person icon instead of a letter.
