How to use it for voice recognition?

Follow these steps, and more details can be found in "How to set up any FIFINE microphones for voice recognition?"

Windows:

  1. Turn on "Sound Settings" - Set "Fine Microphone" as the default input device.

  2. Click the "Start" button and select "Settings" (or use the shortcut “Windows + I”).

  3. Select Time and Language.

  4. Click the "Voice" option.

  5. Click the "Start" button to start the voice recognition wizard. The wizard will guide you through the setup process.

  6. Follow the wizard's instructions to test the microphone to make sure the voice recognition system can hear you.

  7. You can choose to activate speech recognition by using a shortcut key (e.g., Windows+Ctrl+S) or a voice command (e.g., "Start Listening").

Mac:

  1. Open System Preferences.

  2. Locate and click the "Keyboard" icon.

  3. Click on the "Dictation" TAB.

  4. Check the box next to "Dictation" to enable dictation.

  5. Choose a language and microphone: You can choose a language for dictation and choose the Fifine microphone as the input device. Then set the shortcut key to activate speech recognition according to your needs.

How to fix the A6V microphone changing the volume automatically on Discord/Skype?

Go to the settings page of the software, find the tab related to audio/video/voice, and you should be able to see the option to close the automatic volume.

If it still doesn't work? Three methods may increase your luck. You can search for more details through the guide on fixing the mic control adjustment itself.

Check for Windows Updates

  • Press Windows + I to open Settings

  • Select Update & Security

  • Go to Windows Update

  • Click Check for Updates

Perform a Clean Boot

  • Press Windows + R to open the Run box

  • Type msconfig and press Enter

  • In the Services tab, check Hide all Microsoft services

  • Click Disable all

  • Go to the Startup tab and select Open Task Manager

  • In Task Manager, disable each startup item one by one

Alternative Method (Less Relevant but Worth Trying)

  • Right-click This PC and choose Properties

  • Open Control Panel

  • Search for Speech Recognition and select it

  • Click Set up microphone

  • Choose Desktop Microphone and select Next

  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the test
