Account

Configure your personal account settings — profile, password, and two-factor authentication.

What this article covers

Your personal account settings. Open the Account page by clicking your own name in the bottom-left corner of Finstack. For team-wide settings such as roles and user access, see Team.

How do I update my profile details?

On the Account page you can:

  • Upload a new profile image (displayed across the tool in discussions and page access) via Upload file

  • Update your first name, last name, and job title

  • Set your language

Don't forget to press Save changes at the bottom.

How do I change my password?

On the Account page, click the Change password button and follow the steps.

How do I enable two-factor authentication (2FA)?

On the Account page, click Enable 2FA (under Two-Factor Authentication Security) for an additional layer of security. You'll link an authenticator app during setup.

How do I reset two-factor authentication (2FA) or switch to a new authenticator?

Two-factor authentication can only be enabled from within Finstack — there is no self-service option to disable it or transfer it to a different authenticator app.

To reset your 2FA (for example when switching phones or authenticator apps): ask for a human agent in the chat. We disable 2FA on your account, after which you can re-enable it yourself with your new authenticator via your account settings.

Who do I contact about invoices and payments?

For all questions about your Finstack subscription — invoices from Finstack, payments, direct debits, and refunds, for example a double payment, a change of bank account, or an invoice you don't recognise — email finance@finstack.io. Include the invoice number(s) where possible.

The chat is not the right channel for payment matters; billing is handled separately from product support.

Note: this is only about your subscription with Finstack. For questions about invoices, debtors, or outstanding items in your own administration, see Aging.
