⭕ Nanowrimo Day 29: Full circle

What to write for NaNoWriMo today, based on the classic 3-act story structure.

Updated over a year ago

This week, your characters are at rock bottom and you have to put them back together again.

What to write today

Today, you're writing the climax [46,676–48,343 words]:

  • Take the central conflict full circle, and resolve your protagonist's external goal.

  • Winding up starts at around 47,500 words.

  • Wrap up any sub-plots. Tie up loose ends.

  • Resolve all your character arcs, and show how your protagonist has changed. Resolve your protagonist's internal goal.

Want a different sort of prompt? Write a scene in which something happens in slow motion. 🦥

Update your running editorial note

At the end of the day make a note of any off-course deviations, potential inconsistencies, areas to research further, or moments of inspiration to revisit when you edit in December/January.
