How do I adjust the height of my targets?

We work out your height as you're loading into a class.

Your height will automatically be calibrated when you select ‘Start Class’ and enter a workout. This means you’ll need to be up straight when selecting and loading into a workout to ensure the targets arrive at the correct height for you (e.g. standing or sitting depending on how you want to workout, but at full height and facing forward, looking straight out horizontally).

If the target height isn't comfortable

If you still find that the targets are still appearing too high/low, we've now added the option to manually run that calibration again from within the pause menu of your FitXR app.

The default option to access the pause menu will be the button on your left hand controller. On both Quest and Pico, this will be a button that has a few horizontal lines on it - which will pull up a menu that looks like this:

What does this do?

Using the Height Calibration option in the lower right corner of this screen will re-run the same calculation performed during the loading menu. Again, you should be upright (seated or standing), facing horizontally forward when you complete this action.

Right now, there's no visual confirmation to say that the calibration has happened (but we'll be adding that in in future). Providing targets are arriving at a comfortable height, then the calibration has been successful.

Please do get in touch with our Support team if you're continuing to have issues after following the advice above. When doing that, if you could record a video of what's happening and send this over to us directly at support@fitxr.com, we'll able to investigate this further for you.
