"The login details of this item have changed (credentials, MFA, or required user action) and a user login is required to update this information. use Link's update mode to restore the item to a good state - Please contact Flatly Support with Plaid Request ID: #####"

The financial institution indicated that the user's password or MFA information has changed. They will need to re-authenticate via Link's update mode.

Flatly uses Plaid as a data gateway to power its bank integrations.


Most likely causes of this job failure, in order of likelihood:

  1. You have too many connections to the same Financial Institution, see this guide to Reducing Credentials Errors.

  2. Your bank may require re-authentication because your credentials changed.

Solution: Re-authorize your data source in Flatly (Disconnect and Reconnect).
