Why do I need to review imported listings?

Why do I need to review imported listings?

Written by Shane Jordan

If you already track inventory in Flippd, an import won't silently create items it couldn't match — those listings wait on the review screen for your decision. This protects your inventory from filling up with duplicates.

What You Can Do on the Review Screen

  • Merge — link the eBay listing to the suggested existing item. Your cost of goods, location, barcode, and source stay untouched; the listing data syncs onto it.

  • Import as new item — the listing becomes a brand-new inventory item (you can add cost of goods and location afterward).

  • Bulk actions — approve all near-certain matches at once, or import all unmatched listings as new items with one tap.

Step-by-Step

  1. Run an import from Integrations > eBay > Sync

  2. When it finishes, tap Review matches

  3. Decide each listing (or use the bulk buttons at the top)

  4. Tap Apply — decisions are saved and links are remembered forever

Good to Know

  • A review only happens for listings the import couldn't match. Get more automatic matches by setting your eBay listings' SKUs to your Flippd SKUs or Stock Numbers — see How does matching work?

  • Brand-new Flippd accounts skip the review: with no existing inventory to protect, listings import directly.

  • If you close the review screen without applying, nothing is created — run the import again to review those listings later.
