By default, Floorzap prevents out-of-stock products from being added to quotes. This article explains how to enable that capability and how to use it when building a quote.
Note: Enabling this feature requires admin access to System Settings. Once turned on, it applies to all users in your account.
Enable Out-of-Stock Quoting (One-Time Setup)
This setting only needs to be configured once. After it's enabled, any user can add out-of-stock products to a quote.
From the main menu, click Settings.
Select System Settings.
Open the Quote Invoice tab and check Show out of stock inventory products.
Add an Out-of-Stock Item to a Quote
Once the setting is enabled, out-of-stock products will appear in search results when adding materials to a quote.
Go to Inventory → Product Stock to verify the item currently shows zero on-hand quantity.
Open or create a quote, then click Add Material.
Search for the product by name or number and select it.
The item is added to the quote. Click the material detail icon to review line item details.
