The Layouts feature enables users to upload an image of a floor plan or layout and add icons to represent assets, equipment, and areas. Users can associate these icons with specific projects, equipment, or locations and create parent-child relationships between them. Pin templates are available to speed up the creation of templates on the layout, and pin categories are pre-populated based on best practices. Users can filter icons by category, type, and layer, and duplicate and group pins and shapes.

To create a layout, you will toggle the Layouts button in your Work Order view in the upper right hand corner, where you will find pre-populated pin templates with icons and colors. Pin templates help you quickly create templates on the layout. The Layouts feature allows you to upload an image of your floor plan or layout and drop icons onto it to visualize your assets, areas, or equipment. You can associate the icons with specific equipment, locations, or projects, and even create a parent-child relationship between them.

You can add pins, shapes, and text to the layout by clicking and dragging them to the desired location. You can edit the pin properties, such as category, description, associated equipment or project, icon, and color. You can duplicate pins and shapes as many times as you want, and even draw rectangles to group them together. You can also filter pins by category, layer, or show/hide children. The platform provides pre-populated pin templates and categories based on best practices, but you can add or remove them as needed.

For example, if you have an athletic court, you can use a pin template to create an athletic category. Pin categories are also pre-populated for you based on best practices.

In the Layouts view, you can filter icons by categories such as HVAC systems or equipment. You can also filter by the type of icon, such as a location pin or project pin. By default, all filters are turned on, showing everything on the layout. But as filters are applied, the icons displayed will change based on the filter selection.

You can scroll through the layout infinitely, but there is a button available to center the canvas to its original position. You can also zoom in and out by holding the control key and scrolling up or down. You can move the canvas by holding the spacebar and dragging the mouse, allowing you to move around the layout easily.
