Who is covered by the invoicing mandate?

Written by Charles Fouchault

The Folkyn invoicing mandate applies to freelancers established in France who fall within the scope of the electronic invoicing reform.

For these freelancers, Folkyn can generate and transmit invoices in their name and on their behalf, based on the approved timesheet.

Freelancers working through an umbrella company are excluded from this process. In this case, the contractual relationship and invoicing are handled by the umbrella company, which will continue to issue its own invoices and upload them to Folkyn.

Similarly, freelancers who are not covered by electronic invoicing through Folkyn will continue to issue their own invoices. Once their timesheet has been approved, they can simply upload their invoice to Folkyn to centralize assignment and invoicing management.

Folkyn therefore adapts the invoicing workflow to each freelancer’s situation: automated invoicing under a mandate when applicable, or invoice upload by the freelancer or their umbrella company in all other cases.
