When you activate your Sharesies account, we’ll ask you if your business is a Prescribed Person.

Your business is considered a Prescribed Person if it’s owned by someone who is:

  • an employee of an NZX Market Participant (which includes a Trading Participant or NZX Advising Firm)

  • the immediate family of an employee of an NZX Trading and Advising Firm (partner or dependent child).

Meaning of employee and immediate family

An employee means all persons employed by an NZX Market Participant and includes:

  • directors (but not independent directors)

  • partners

  • employees

  • officers

  • agents

  • dealers

  • advisers

  • contractors.

Immediate family means the spouse or de facto partner and dependent children of an individual.
