Top up your Sharesies Wallet

Find out how to top up your Sharesies Wallet and how long it can take.

You can only top up your farm business’s Wallet with a bank transfer.

You won’t be able to directly transfer money between Wallets of different farm business profiles, or from the Wallet of your personal Sharesies profile to the Wallet of your farm business profile.

You can edit your account details, or add another bank account, by going to Settings > Bank accounts and cards in Sharesies.

Top up with a bank transfer

Go to Wallet > Top up your Wallet > Bank transfer to find the details you need to top up your Sharesies Wallet by bank transfer.

You’ll need to copy the following details across to your internet banking (you’ll find them on the bank transfer page in Sharesies):

  • your customer reference number

  • the payee name (Sharesies NZ), and

  • the Sharesies account number (12-3497-0007278-01).

When setting up a one-off bank transfer, or automatic payment, make sure that your customer reference number has been included and is correct. We use this reference number to automatically assign your top-up to your Wallet.

If you have more than one farm business profile, take care that you’re topping up the intended Wallet and that you’re using the correct customer reference number.

If you forget to add your customer reference number, please email us at help@sharesies.co.nz so we can manually match it up to your account (which will take slightly longer).

How long it takes to top up

Topping up your Wallet with a bank transfer can take a few hours on weekdays. Over weekends and public holidays, it can take a few days—it all depends on your bank.
