How to Deactivate and Reactivate User Accounts

Learn the process of removing users and reactivating accounts from Copilot.

Users should be deactivated once they no longer require access to Copilot. Active users display a "Deactivate" button in their profiles. Pushing the button will deactivate the user immediately, and they will not receive any notification of deactivation.

Deactivating & Reactivating users:

  1. Select the gear icon on the top right of Copilot and choose "My Team" from the dropdown menu.

  2. Search for any user within your brand in the search bar.

  3. After you select the user you will have the option to "Deactivate".

  4. You will see a success message at the top of the page that confirms your deactivation or reactivation.

Note: The user's profile will remain on your My Team page, but will be labeled Deactivated. Deactivated users can be reactivated at any time via the Reactivate button visible on their profile page. If reactivated the user will receive an email asking them to set up their account again.
