To implement a standard event banner, follow the below steps:

Find and select the correct brand (in either staging or production), in Verso Settings.

  1. Select Event Banner.

*Please note, some fields may already be pre-filled if an event banner was previously set up for the brand you're working with. The following fields are mandatory, so will show up automatically:

  • Banner Expiry Time Stamp

  • Event Time Stamp

  • Locale

  • Logo Base URL

  • Time up message

  • Time Zone

  • Logo

    • Alt Text

  • Logo > Sources > Sm

    • URL

  • Url

    • HREF

    • Text

3. Once in the Event Banner capability, click Edit Settings to make the fields configurable.

4. Add the Banner Start Time Stamp field using the Add Settings drop-down. As you add fields, the new fields will be highlighted in orange to signify a change from the last save/ publish.

5. Fill in all of the appropriate fields:

  • Banner Expiry Time Stamp

    • This determines the date and time when the banner will expire and be automatically removed from the site, based on the GMT zone.

  • Banner Start Time Stamp

    • This determines the date and time when the banner will begin appearing on the site, based on the GMT zone.

  • Event Time Stamp

    • This is the scheduled start time of the event, and the countdown will track towards this moment, using the GMT zone as the reference.

  • Locale

  • Logo Base URL

    • URL for the landing page when the user clicks on the logo on the left side.

  • Time up message

    • This is the plain text message that will appear in place of the countdown once the event start time is reached. (Example: Happening Now!)

  • Time Zone

    • Formats the time based on the event's location, using the TZ Identifier.(example for US: US/Eastern)

  • Logo

    • Alt Text

      • This is the plain-text description of the logo.

  • Logo > Sources > Sm

    • URL

      • This is the URL for the image or logo (in PNG or JPG format) generated by uploading as a photo in Copilot. This image or logo is displayed on the left side of the banner.

  • Url

    • HREF

      • URL for the landing page when the user clicks on the text on the right-hand side of the banner.

    • Text

      • This is the plain-text message that is shown as a clickable link on the right-hand side of the banner.

6. Click Save and then Review & Publish.

7. Once changes are reviewed, select Publish Changes.

The event banner will appear once the designated Banner Start Time is reached.

Legend:
