Use your device biometrics to sign in quickly and securely to the Forsyth Barr app.
For iOS

Watch the video above or follow the steps below to learn how to enable biometric login for iOS and Android devices.
For iOS users
Open the Forsyth Barr app
Go to Profile
Tap Face ID or Touch ID
Turn on Enable Face ID or Enable Touch ID
Follow the prompts to confirm with your device biometrics, then enter your Forsyth Barr password when prompted
Note: Only turn this on if no one else has Face ID or Touch ID registered on this device.
If you do not see the option to enable follow the steps below:
On your iPhone, go to Settings > Face ID & Passcode or Touch ID & Passcode,

2. Confirm Face ID or Touch ID is set up
3. Under Other Apps enable Forsyth Barr.
For Android users
Open the Forsyth Barr app
Go to Profile
Tap Biometric login
Turn on Enable biometric login
Follow the prompts to confirm with your device biometrics, then enter your Forsyth Barr password when prompted
If you do not see the option to enable:
On your phone, go to Settings > Security & privacy > Biometrics, set up fingerprint or face unlock, then return to the app and try again.
Turn biometrics off
In the app, go to Profile > Face ID or Touch ID on iOS, or Biometric login on Android, then switch it off.
Troubleshooting biometric login
I am still being asked for a PIN or password
Biometrics may have failed or permission was not granted. Re-enable using the steps above.
Do you have a new device or re-installed the app?
You will need to set up biometric login again.
The Face ID option missing in Settings
If you don’t see Face ID & Passcode under Settings in your iOS device, it may be due to a Screen Time restriction. Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions and check that Passcode Changes is set to Allow.
