Can't Find Your Data? Check Your Filters First

If you're expecting to see data on a screen — trips, records, reports, or any other information — and it isn't appearing, the most common cause is an active filter that is limiting what's displayed. Most screens in RoutingBox include extensive filtering options, and filters often persist between sessions, meaning they stay applied even after you log out and back in.

Before assuming data is missing or that there is a system issue, always check your filters first.

Step 1 — Locate the filter panel

On most screens, the filter panel is accessible via a Filters section near the top of the screen. Click or tap this to expand the filter options currently applied to your view.

Step 2 — Review each active filter

Check the following common filters that are most likely to hide data you're looking for:

  • Date range — Confirm the date range includes the timeframe you're looking for. This is the most frequent cause of data appearing missing.

  • Status — If a status filter is applied, records that don't match that status will not appear. Make sure all relevant statuses are included.

  • Company or account filters — If your system is configured for multiple companies or accounts, confirm the correct one is selected.

  • Assigned user or driver filters — If results are filtered by a specific user or driver, records assigned to others will not display.

Step 3 — Clear or reset your filters

If you are unsure which filter is causing the issue, clear all filters and reload the screen. Once cleared, confirm whether the data you were looking for is now visible.

Step 4 — If data is still missing after clearing filters

If you have confirmed that all filters are cleared and the data you expect to see is still not appearing, this may require further investigation. Please contact support and include the following information to help us assist you efficiently:

  • Which screen or report you are viewing

  • What data you are expecting to see (date range, record type, etc.)

  • A screenshot of the screen with filters cleared, if possible
