How To Swap Out an Asset

When using a Template, rather than deleting a placeholder image and rebuilding the layout around a new one, you can drop your new reference straight into its place.

  1. Click the Frame, Motion, or Image you want to change.

  2. Click the thumbnail that appears in the toolbar.

  3. Find your replacement in the Asset Browser.

  4. Click Replace image.

How To Reorder Object Layers

Every Object sits on its own layer, and the order decides what Object is visible.

  1. Select an Object

  2. Click the layer icon in the toolbar, the two opposing arrows icon.

  3. Select one of the four options, or use the hotkeys to reorder:

  • Bring to front — ]

  • Bring forward — Option + ]

  • Send backward — Option + [

  • Send to back — [

If a Frame is hiding your title, select the Frame and choose Send to back, or select the text and choose Bring to front.

Using Opacity

  1. Select an Object

  2. Click the opacity tool in the toolbar, the two overlapping circles.

  3. Use the slider to select a percentage, with 0% being fully transparent.

Dropping a Frame back to 30% opacity or so is a quick way to turn it into a background your text can sit on top of.

How to Crop Frames and Motions

  1. Select the Frame or Motion

  2. Click the Crop tool, the two intersected angles icon.

  • Drag the handles on the edges of the Frame to change where it starts and stops.

  • Use the slider that appears above the Frame to zoom in.

  • Drag the Asset to reposition it inside its border.

  • Click the Aspect Ratio tool, the square frame icon, to change the border.

When it looks right, click the checkmark, or anywhere else. Your crop is saved either way.
