To become a licensed real estate salesperson in NH, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Must complete the 40 hour pre-licensing course

  • Must pay a $90 license fee plus a $25 background check fee

  • Must pass the NH real estate exam within 6 months of the pre-licensing course start date

    • If you fail the exam on your first try, you can retake the exam up to 8 times within 6 months of your first test date

  • Must apply for the NH license after passing the exam by sending all required paperwork to the New Hampshire Real Estate Commission office

A high school diploma is not required to get a New Hampshire real estate license.
