This guide will help you transfer ownership of your personal EarthRover NFT to another individual.
Ownership of the NFT grants full control over the bot, including the ability to drive it and share access with others.
⚠️ Only one account can be the owner of a bot at a time. The NFT must be transferred for ownership to change.
Before You Begin
Please read this entire guide before starting the process.
SENDER: Transfer Your EarthRover NFT
Step 1: Set up Phantom Wallet
Open Google Chrome and search for Phantom Wallet.
Click Add to Chrome → Add Extension.
Once installed, click the Phantom icon in the upper-right toolbar.
Choose Create a New Wallet and set your password.
If you already have Phantom installed, skip this step.
Step 2: Access Your FrodoBots Wallet
Go to rovers.frodobots.com.
Log in using the same Discord account used to activate your bot.
On the left sidebar, click Wallet — this opens the Web3Auth site.
Log in again via Discord.
On the Web3Auth dashboard:
Select Solana Mainnet from the token dropdown.
Click your profile icon (top right) → select your FrodoBots wallet.
Open the NFT tab and wait for your EarthRover NFT to load (this may take up to 30 minutes).
Step 3: Copy Your FrodoBots Wallet Private Key
Click your profile picture → Settings → Privacy & Security.
Find your FrodoBots wallet (
school.frodobots.com).Copy the private key.
Step 4: Import FrodoBots Wallet into Phantom
Click the Phantom extension icon on Chrome.
Tap your account icon (upper left) → pencil icon (lower left) → Add Account.
Select Import Private Key.
Give it a name (e.g., “FrodoBots NFT Wallet”).
Paste your private key → click Import.
Step 5: Verify NFT in Phantom
Open Phantom → go to the Collectibles tab (next to Tokens).
You should see your FrodoBots EarthRover NFT displayed there.
Step 6: Send the NFT to the New Owner
⚠️ Before sending:
Ensure your FrodoBots wallet has enough SOL for network fees. If needed, you can add funds through the Solana site or other supported platforms. Learn how to top-up your account here.
Confirm the receiver has already imported their FrodoBots wallet to Phantom.
Tip: Keep at least 0.01 SOL in your Phantom wallet to cover the network fee.
The actual cost is usually less than $0.01 per transfer, but a small balance ensures your transaction goes through successfully.
To send:
In Phantom, open your FrodoBots NFT.
If you have multiple EarthRover NFTs, check the properties of the NFT to confirm you're sending the correct NFT.
Click Send.
Enter the receiver’s Solana wallet address.
You’ll see a “Sent” message when the transaction is complete.
Step 7: Confirm the Transfer
Once the transfer is complete, the NFT should no longer appear in your EarthRovers dashboard, as it’s now listed under the recipient’s account.
Note: Any NFTs you collected while owning and driving the bot will remain in your account.
RECEIVER: Accept and Verify Ownership
Step 1: Set up Phantom Wallet
Open Google Chrome and search for Phantom Wallet.
Click Add to Chrome → Add Extension.
Once installed, click the Phantom icon in the upper-right toolbar.
Choose Create a New Wallet and set your password.
If you already have Phantom installed, skip this step.
Step 2: Access Your FrodoBots Wallet
Go to rovers.frodobots.com.
Log in using the same Discord account used to activate your bot.
On the left sidebar, click Wallet — this opens the Web3Auth site.
On the dashboard:
Select Solana Mainnet from the token dropdown.
Click your profile icon (top right) → select your FrodoBots wallet.
Step 3: Copy Your FrodoBots Wallet Private Key
Go to Settings → Privacy & Security.
Find your FrodoBots wallet (
school.frodobots.com).Copy the private key.
Step 4: Import FrodoBots Wallet into Phantom
Open Phantom → click your account icon (upper left).
Tap the pencil icon (lower left) → Add Account → Import Private Key.
Name the wallet (e.g., “FrodoBots Wallet”).
Paste the private key → click Import.
Step 5: Copy Your Solana Wallet Address
Open the Phantom sidebar → choose your FrodoBots Wallet.
Ensure Solana is selected as the network.
Copy your wallet address and send this to the current owner (sender).
Step 6: Confirm NFT Ownership
After the sender transfers the NFT, log in to rovers.frodobots.com.
Click Inventory on the left sidebar.
You should now see your EarthRover NFT.
If it doesn’t appear immediately, wait a few minutes for the blockchain to sync.
✅ Ownership is successfully transferred!
The EarthRover is now linked to the new owner's FrodoBots account.
